My name is Isabel Perdomo an Industrial Arts graduate student at San Francisco State University (SFSU). Prior to starting my Masters, I was a Designer and the creative lead of the product development wing at Michelle Kaufmann Designs. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Architecture from the University of California, Davis.

I was born in Bogota, Colombia and was raised in an environment of community awareness and social responsibility. In the year of 2009, life provided me the lucky chance to live in Rome, Italy for six months. While living there I gained experience as a tour leader and shared my knowledge in history of art and architecture with travelers. In addition, I learned Italian and became addicted to gelato.

My creative work involves design education for in rehabilitation homeless kids. In the year of 2011, I will be developing a two month curriculum to be applied at the Fundacion Niños de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. After, spending these two months with the kids, I will be designing an experience that will connect teenagers from developed countries with the challenges faced by teenagers in the developing world. The goal is to create awareness through education, product, furniture, interior and graphic design.

Aside from my creative work, I build furniture, design products, alter interior spaces, play with graphics and challenge myself with new projects everyday. I enjoy riding my bicycle around San Francisco, traveling, learning about food and wine, supporting local, sustainable business, markets, artists and designers as well as watching TED talks on a daily basis.
